Virtual Rally for Solidarity and Sustainability

Welcome to the second installment of our inclusive virtual event! Let’s rise together for our local communities by harnessing the creativity and kindness of the Climate Ride community. Join Climate Rise, the one-day virtual rally to show our solidarity with our fellow humans and nonprofits in this time of crisis. As we all know, the climate crisis is on-going and despite the clearer skies, the need for action is more urgent than ever.

Virtual Climate Rise 2020 – July

In this time of social distancing and shelter in place orders we are providing our Climate Ride community an opportunity to rise together in a virtual event. Our network of beneficiaries includes many non-profits who need support right now. This event will allow all of us to advocate for them, fund raise, and feel the power of this incredible community.

We’ll host a virtual campfire kickoff event featuring a keynote speaker, live music, and more on Friday, July 10, 2020, at 5:30 PM PST, 6:30 PM MST, 7:30 PM CST, and 8:30 PM EST.

We are a group of riders participating in Climate Rise 2020. On July 11th, 2020, a small group of riders will bike a half century (50 miles); pedaling a loop around San Diego Bayshore Bikeway, from the San Diego Waterfront Park to Border Field State Park, the most southwestern point in the United States.  We will be greeted by the Mayor of Imperial Beach, Serge Dedina, to bring awareness and attention to the harmful conditions of the Tijuana River.

Please join us by registering for Climate Rise and joining our team! It is free to register and we suggest a $400 fundraising minimum to participate in the ride on July 11, 2020.  We will limit the riding group to 24 people.  If you are unable to join us at the event for any number reasons, you still may join our team virtually to help meet our team goal of $10k. We will stay connected during the ride and after, to continue community engagement As we work toward a healthy future.
